This is a simple pancake that you can whip up in no time.

Basic Pancake Recipe Ingredients

The basic pancake batter is one of the easiest to make.
You need:
1 cup whole meal flour
1 egg white
1 ΒΌ cup skimmed milk
4 tbsp cold water

Basic Pancake Recipe Directions

Beat together the flour, egg white, milk and water till smooth.
To make the pancakes, heat a film of oil on a non-sticking pan.
Put in about 3 tbsp of batter and tilt the pan around till the batter swirls around to cover the entire base of the pan.
Cook for about 45 second till the base is set, then lifting the edges with a spatula, check if the base is evenly browned.
If it has, shake the pan to loosen the pancake then flip the pan to turn it over.
This requires some finesse, so to begin with, turn it with a spatula.
Cook the other side for another 30 seconds, then slide onto a plate and fill with choice of filling.
Another option is to sprinkle fruits on the top before it sets completely. This is a healthy foods great breakfast idea.
