American Texas Panhandle Flapjacks Ingredients
1 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1 cup milk (add to desired consistency)
American Texas Panhandle Flapjack Recipe Directions
Preheat griddle or skillet to medium-high heat.
(This can be made over the outdoor grill or campfire.)
Mix together all of the ingredients but the milk.
Gradually add the milk until the consistency resembles thin cooked oatmeal.
Scoop onto the griddle.
Make larger pancakes using a ladel, or silver dollar pancakes using a ¼ cup scoop.
Cook until all of the bubbles have popped.
Turn over and cook on the second side for about 1 minute.
Serve piping hot.
